2023 Napa Valley Red Blend

This blend is undeniably Napa in style. Sourced from a high-elevation site in the eastern hills of Napa’s Vaca mountain range. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 25% Merlot.

Picked in early October, destemmed and taken directly to tank and large puncheons as whole berries. Fermentation started during a 3-day cold soak. After two weeks on the skins with daily punchdowns, the wine spent 20 months in Bordelaise French oak barrels, 50% new, and was racked once before bottling.

Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, cassis and dark chocolate. Subtle notes of cedar and baking spice lead into layers of dark fruit and cherry tobacco.
