2023 Napa Valley Cabernet Franc

VINEYARD

Grown high in the hills above Napa Valley, this Cabernet Franc balances wildness with grace. This special vineyard site in the famed Pritchard Hill region of Napa Valley is planted on steep rocky slopes. Farmed organically using biodynamic practices and CCOF-certified organic. 

CELLAR

The wine spent 20 months in 50% new and 50% neutral Bordelaise French oak, and was only racked once before bottling.

The nose opens with crushed violets, graphite, and black raspberry, grounded by a touch of savory herbs and warm earth. The palate is lifted and precise — black and blue fruits framed by fine, chalky tannins and a subtle mineral edge. Structured but not heavy, expressive without trying too hard — a snapshot of the rugged hillsides that inspired it. Drink it now with a good meal and better company, or let it rest for a few years to let its deeper layers unfold.
